Advanced Open Water Diver

For certification you will do the two core dives - Navigation & Deep - plus 3 elective dives. We try to choose our electives to suit the interests of our students and the sea conditions at the time. The following are some of our most common elective dives, though others may be available - Search & Recovery, Naturalist, Boat, Drift, Photography, Videography, Project AWARE Fish ID, or Peak Performance Buoyancy. You will need your own camera system for Photography or Videography - we have still camera & video systems for hire and sale.
If you have not dived in a while and/or are feeling like you could use a little revision, we highly recommend that you join one of our Refreshers before your Advanced Course. This short experience involves reviewing basic theory, getting familiar with the dive equipment again and a confined water session to practice your buoyancy and other basic skills that you will need to have before hopping into the ocean!
You will need to provide:
- Your Open Water (or equivalent) certification card
- A log book (we have them from about $10)
- Three passport sized photos (we can take them at Exmouth Diving Centre…$7/set of four)
We will provide all of the equipment you will need and all air fills, boat fees & certification costs.
